There’s nothing quite like stepping into the world of horror—especially when it’s for a creative photoshoot! Recently, I had the pleasure of working with a talented local actor to bring a series of eerie, horror-inspired portraits to life. Shot across two iconic locations in North Providence, Rhode Island—the actor’s home and Govern Notte Park—this photoshoot was all about capturing the chilling atmosphere of the horror genre while showcasing the actor’s range and presence.

The Concept and Locations

The concept for this photoshoot was simple yet exciting: take the intensity of horror films and bring it to life through dramatic portraiture. We started at the actor’s home, where dim lighting, shadows, and carefully chosen props helped set the tone for a truly immersive experience. Moving to the rustic yet haunting surroundings of Govern Notte Park added a dynamic contrast, bringing natural elements into the story while maintaining the eerie vibe.

It was at these locations where we had the chance to experiment with creative lighting techniques, positioning the actor in ways that enhanced the dark, cinematic atmosphere. The subtle but impactful adjustments in lighting were key to transforming ordinary locations into something extraordinary.
