A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure to go to Fort Adams. This Structure was built 1824-1857 under the Third System of coastal forts. Today it is a state park with rich history.

Even though the day was cold when I did get to visit, I found it quite enjoyable walking around the exterior of the fort. The Fort Adams walking trail that moved along the coast around the fort is a great way to view different areas around New Port, Rhode Island. In some of my photographs you can see the New Port Bridge in the background.

If you every have a chance to come to Rhode Island, Please feel free to visit this historical site.
